Today the sun is out, the snow is melting and I can really feel spring in the air.
Spring is a time for renewal, rebirth and planting seeds. What ideas do you want to come to fruition? What feels important to grow on any level in your life? Tending to our goals, intentions and dreams takes the same kind of nurturing as tending to the new growth of seedlings. At times we can get sidetracked, forgetting about what we’ve intended only to have an inspired new idea wither and die.
When we nurture a new idea and help it along by asking questions and listening for the answers, we can then take more inspired action.
A favorite tool that I use to assist my clients and myself in growing new ideas, stopping behaviors that block us and being able to move forward is the Emotional Freedom Technique.
The Emotional Freedom Technique is a powerful stress-release tool called Tapping (also known as EFT) that will re-pattern your meridian and nervous system making more room for a deeper sense of peace and freedom. When we are stressed, we can sometimes get stuck in a loop that feels hopeless and then the thoughts come; I’m so stupid! How come I’m not further along by now? I should be over this. I’ve been working on this for years… you get the picture right?
Tapping is a gentle yet effective practice that reduces the emotional impact of trauma, memories and incidents that trigger stress. Tapping combines counseling techniques with acupressure in the form of light fingertip tapping on acupuncture points. The tapping acts as a circuit breaker on the electromagnetic signal of the stress and diffuses its emotional trigger resulting in balancing your whole system.
EFT helps open up our system to know that these thoughts are not the truth and that you are further along than you thought. It’s like a breath of fresh air!
EFT can be used on anything that causes you stress on any level, physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually. It’s easy to learn and do.
